The Spinnaker Hotel is a located in Gourock on the main coastal road between Greenock and Largs. The Victorian style building dates back to the 1920’s. Previously known as the Fairlight it changed ownership and its name in the early 1970’s. It’s been in the same family ever since. The hotel expanded from 3 bedrooms to 9 in 1998 incorporating the adjacent residential property which also created additional dining and socialising space.
The entire downstairs of the business was refurbished in late 2016 / early 2017. With the assistance of professional interior designer Catherine Wilson the stylish but not overly modern revamp has kept the traditional homely feel that the Spinnaker has always been known for. We have no jukeboxes or fruit machines but they are not needed. The present owner is Stewart McCartney and along with his team hope to provide you with an enjoyable and memorable experience for all the right reasons when visiting the Spinnaker.
