Take the M8 Motorway west to Greenock, where you join the A770 to Gourock. The Spinnaker is located about a mile west of the Town Centre.

Caledonian MacBrayne (www.calmac.co.uk/gettingthere/index.html) has complete online listing of current timetables and road maps, covering all services throughout Scotland. CalMac services are frequent and fast, but can be very busy during peak seasons. If you plan to tour extensively in the area, Island Hopscotch and Island Rover tickets offer attractive discounts on a variety of pre-planned routes.

• At Gourock Pier Head, the CalMac ferry takes 20 minutes to Cowal (Dunoon)
• One mile west of Gourock, the Western Ferry takes the Hunter's Quay/McInroy Point (Dunoon) route in 15 minutes.
• At Wemyss Bay, the CalMac ferry takes 30 minutes to Rothesay (Isle of Bute.)
